| Paul & Jeanne's Timeline 2004 DecemberPaul and Jeanne enjoy a lovely Christmas in Camarillo, California with lots of family. Still no I600-A approval. November 15We make the trip to the new Homeland Security office in Tacoma on a cold and rainy (very early) Monday morning. In less than an hour we are fingerprinted and out of there! NovemberPaul and Jeanne decide on a name: Chloe Simone November 1We receive the USCIS letter to process our I600-A form and fingerprinting appointment, set for November 15, 2004 October 23Paul and Jeanne attend an all-day, very informative, New Hope adoption orientation. Kathy, Patty, and Kim do a fabulous job of relating their own stories as well as realistic experiences of adoptions. We meet other families who have adopted from New Hope and their daughters and exchange questions and answers with them. New Hope sends us off with a large binder of informationJeanne reads the entire binder in two days. :- October 20The Paper Chase is DONEwe have sent our dossier paperwork to our agency, New Hope! September 28Jeanne's birthday! Joan takes Jeanne out to lunch and then on a shopping spree to the local baby thrift store, LittleLams, and buys her the first baby outfit! They are ridiculously cute. September 22Our home study is complete and our wonderful social worker, Amalea, has sent it to USCIS. June through SeptemberHome study by our fabulous social worker Amalea. May 18Jeanne & Paul get their physicals from Dr. Coghlan's office in Seattle. (Immunizations to come later, probably just before 2005 travel). April 5We send in our formal application (among other paperwork) to New Hope to initiate the international adoption process. |
